Shane J. Lee

Sustainability Associate

Shane J. Lee is the current Sustainability Associate for Sustain Our Future Foundation (SOFF), providing strategic advice for community benefits implementation, stewarding organizational clean energy equity work, and performing statistical community health evaluations. For SOFF, he is supporting our consulting efforts to create greater environmental justice industry fluency and increase corporate sustainability commitments.

Currently, Shane is an advisory member for Groundswell’s Resilient Communities, Maryland initiative, aiding climate resiliency strategies for frontline communities in Maryland. Additionally, Shane is a Public Voices Fellow for the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication and a contributor to multiple clean energy industry papers. He has written on topics that include: co-benefits, woody biomass, Equity PPAs, and electrification.

With dual degrees in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) and Political Science from Virginia Tech, Shane graduated with Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude honors.
